This months exhibit features “Blind Faith,” a mixed-media showing of local artists, Amber Parker, David Gorley, Kerry Porche and Catherine W. Porche.

Parker, a Milligan College Graduate in Art and Design, is no stranger to Nelson Fine Art.  Her work has been in Milligan exhibits as well as the 2004 Clicking Edge Photography exhibit.  Recently accepted to begin graduate work at Savannah College of Art and Design, Parker’s photography in this show will portray the Tri-Cities and Appalachian areas old cities and buildings.

David Gorley, a 2004 graduate of East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Photography and Painting, is showing his latest project which is an extension of the larger whole of his family farm pictures.  “The farm exists like a world of its own.”

Kerry and Catherine Porche, natives of New Orleans, LA, moved to the Tri-Cities in 2002.  Kerry likes to call the years it took him to get to this area “the long ride home.”  Both graduates of LSU, Kerry and Catherine and their infant son moved to Ohio for graduate school where he received his Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting and Drawing from Ohio University in 1995.
